Our Story
Support Vine was founded by two support workers with a passion to advance the lives of individuals living with disabilities. The founders sought to cultivate this passion in other like-minded individuals and continue serving people with disabilities with a person-centred approach. Support Vine also arose out of a real need to safeguard and advocate for support workers, who are the backbone and essence of our field. In doing so, Support Vine strongly believes that our esteemed support workers will advance participant outcomes to its highest standard.
Further reflected by our value and commitment to excellence, Support Vine also emerged from the ethos of creating seamless experiences. Support Vine prizes efficiency and efficient systems. Support Vine strives to shed itself from cumbersome processes and clunky tools to provide smooth and seamless experiences and ultimately enable us to do what we do best – advance the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Meet our Founders
Rik
Surrounded by family members passionate about caring for people with disabilities, Rik developed a deep empathy for disability support; sparking a dream. This dream became Support Vine – a medium to nurture support workers and people with disabilities. Rik stays at the heart and pulse of caring by supporting participants every day.
Lawrence
After years in medical research, Lawrence craved a more direct connection to the impact his work. Stumbling into disability support and witnessing firsthand the positive changes to people’s lives, Lawrence continues to preserve and continue this purpose.
